Family Events

Keep learning and discovering after class with an event at your school or organization. Our expert educators will come to you, with hands-on STEM activities that inspire innovation in learners of all ages. Our 90-minute family events are a fun interactive experience for students, parents, and your entire community. These programs are suitable for groups of 10-150 people, or double the size for up to 300.  

Programs Offered

Celebrate Engineering
Join your family and friends to explore engineering! The Science Museum brings a whole new kind of experience to your organization or school with some of our favorite hands-on activity stations. Activities include flinging frogs, a block building challenge, a hand crane game, a slippery slide for stuffed animals, and more! Celebrate Engineering includes an optional 20-minute opening assembly.

Celebrate Science!
If engineering isn’t the perfect fit for your event, Science Museum of Minnesota staff can help design an experience specific to the needs of your group. Start from our recommended selection of hands-on activities and customize from dozens more to match your event’s theme.

Pricing is based on one instructor. If programming needs dictate more, additional fees will apply.

Awards
Awards are intended for schools where at least 50 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. All in need of reduced program or travel fees are welcome to apply by filling out the form above. Awards are subject to availability.
