Join the Science Museum of Minnesota for The Bias Inside Us: A Closer Look At Criminality and Bias, a panel discussion and short film screening exploring the biases held in our communities around incarceration and criminality.
Transformative justice advocates and individuals who have been directly impacted by the carceral system will discuss the intersections of incarceration and pseudoscience, the impact of art and expression within that system, and alternative answers to mass incarceration.
Featured speakers include:
Antonio Williams, local activist and advocate
Russel Balenger, founder of the Circle of Peace Movement
Dr. Oliver Rollins, Assistant Professor of American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington, author of Conviction: The Making and Unmaking of the Violent Brain
Michael Kleber Diggs, President of the Board of Directors at the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop
