You won’t just find fun and learning in the exhibit galleries and Omnitheater — take your STEM adventure outside! Our backyard, nestled uniquely between the Mississippi River and downtown St. Paul, offers unbeatable views of these features that provide a firsthand look of the STEM magic that exists all around us.
Our backyard is open for adventure
Created in collaboration with community design partners, the backyard is a new space where you can create, build, splash, play, and wander — or simply take a break and enjoy the river view. Build a bridge, experiment with a bamboo water run, explore cultural and experimental gardens, play lawn games, or kick back and soak up the sun.
